League Races

As part of your club membership, you have the chance to run within several leagues throughout the year - both for cross country, and road races. We encourage all members to try these; you never know, you might become a cross-country convert!

If you have any questions regarding any of the leagues, please speak to your captains Alana and Jamie, or e-mail them at isrc.racecaptains@gmail.com

RR10 League

The RR10 league is a series of races organised by running clubs in south-west Hampshire for their members. The races are held on Wednesday evenings during the spring and summer. Entry is free. All races are 4-5 miles off-road.

The only rule for this league is that club kit must be worn. You don't need to be an affiliated club runner to take part, just a member of the club.

Teams are made up of five men or three women per team, and all teams score.

We host the first race of the season and we encourage you to volunteer to get a feel for the event. We have two drop-out races to enable a fair representation amongst all clubs at the races.

For more details visit the RR10 website.

Our RR10 club reps are Hannah, Chris P and Rosie P.

CC6 Cross Country League

Held in the winter, these local races are free and take place once a month on Sunday mornings, between October and March. Distances are between 4 and 5 miles and have similar locations to those in the RR10. No need to enter in advance, just turn up on the day, along with your club shirt, and run.

Similar to the RR10 league, teams score points for their clubs as well as individual scoring. Mens teams consist of 4 runners, woman's teams are 3.

Road Races

Hampshire Road Race League

The HRRL is a series of road races from 5 miles to half marathon distance, between September and June. There are twelve races in the current season, all of which are open to everyone to compete in.

Individual scoring is calculated on a descending % basis where the first HRRL runner gets 100% and the last 1%, for men and ladies individually. To score in the final league table individuals must complete in at least 7 of the 12 races, and it is the 7 best scores that count.

Club teams score points through the success of their runners, and the series culminates in awards to the highest placed teams in the leagues. Clubs can have multiple teams, there are A and B leagues, which enables a wide participation from club runners of all standards, abilities and ages, all of whom are representing the club. The team event runs alongside the individual competition, and each teams score is based on individual finishing position, with 4 men per team, and 3 for ladies. Entry to races within the HRRL should be made through the advertised event website.
